The remains of me

Near Rome, is the lake Nemi also called as Diana’s mirror, a sacred lake.
In the first century, Emperor Caligula - a cruel brutal king who built two huge ships to experience divinity of the lake.
Caligula was killed by his own people within four year of his regime. The ships also were destroyed and they dank in the Nemi lake.
The wreck and remains of the ship were always joden in the deeps of the lake.
It was Benito Mussolini who decided to unravel and bring the marvel of architecture and beauty to Meuseums. In early 1900s the lake was drained and remains brought to the surface.
However, few years later both the wreck and Mussolini saw downfall. During world war II, the ship wreck and remains were burnt to ashes leaving behind few memories and memoirs.

Likewise, my dreams, desires , my wishes were beautifully created by the ‘Caligula’ you!
And they drowned, sunk -broken,deep in my heart.
I call you Caligula cuz you are cruel, merciless, passionless.

I beg I beseech the Mussolini you- the cruel you  to bring out the broken me - rebuild resurrect as a Phoenix and put me in the pious sacred lake of your eyes - the Nemi lake !!

Like the lake placid,
‘The Diana’s mirror,’
are small and calm
Beholding the
magical moon’s charm!

Beneath the
Lurking waters lies
the sunken wrecks of
my titanic dreams;
my colossal wishes,
submerged in tears,
calling out to
the ‘Mussolini you’.

They urge you to
to drain my eyes
of all tears,miseries
and rediscover, reinvent
the magnificent remains
Of me!

Come,
O ‘Caligula’ Come
Come and resurrect
the dead -with in me,
And let me float
Float on the pious
waters of Lake Nemi -
I.e. your eyes!
